The HBIA Championships are back!
These championships provide a stage for you and your salon to showcase your skills and creativity and be recognised for your talents. This annual event aims to reward and celebrate individuals with exemplary industry knowledge.
This is your chance to connect with the diverse network of passionate and fabulous individuals across the hairdressing, barbering and beauty industry.
Come along and be inspired by the innovative minds who make our community fun, vibrant, and full of body!
**HBIA ticket sales proceed will be going to supporting nutrition for Aussie School Kids.
Photographic, Open, Apprentice/Student, Session Stylist Runway Award (All prices include GST)
Photographic Event $75 per photograph (Including Student & Apprentices)
Senior & Open Events $70 per model
Apprentice & Student Events $50 per model
Session Stylist Runway Award $80 per entry
NB: A 10% discount applies for competitors from a salon that is currently a financial member of the HBIA. Spectator tickets may be purchased on the day for $25 per person. Children under 12 years of age are free.
Entries close Monday 11th May 2020. Payment Visa/Master Card/Amex.
All competitors must sign their entry form which signifies an agreement to abide by all the rules and decisions made. Competitors who withdraw from the competitions after Monday 11th May 2020 will not be eligible for a refund.
Entry forms and payments are to be completed upon submission.
The HBIA reserves the right to cancel any competition should there be less than 5 competitors.
The HBIA will not be responsible or liable for any claims arising from or any damage of work performed on model’s hair.
Models must not touch the hair at any time during the judging of the competition.
All competitors must stop work immediately when the call to do so is given.
Offensive exposure and/or nudity is not permitted.
Any person disturbing the competitors or models on the stage will be removed from the premises.
Competitors who disobey these rules will be disqualified.
The judge’s decision will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Food and drink will be available for purchase throughout the day. No alcohol is permitted in the competition area, any competitor under the influence of alcohol will be disqualified immediately. Glasses and alcohol are not permitted in the competition area.
Testing and Tagging will be available on the day of competitions. All electrical appliances will need to be tagged and tested before going on stage.
